Founded in 1985 by Fran Murrin, With Taste began as a bold vision to bring together people who shared an unwavering passion for exceptional food and hospitality. Fran’s natural flair for service, combined with her commitment to culinary excellence, quickly set With Taste apart in the Irish catering industry. Known for her creativity, high standards, and genuine dedication, Fran’s work built a reputation that resonated from intimate dinner parties to grand galas, winning the admiration of clients and colleagues alike. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Fran and her team pioneered new standards in Dublin’s catering scene. One of her early ventures was as the proud proprietor of Chapter One restaurant in 1993, a daring endeavour at a time when fine dining on Dublin’s northside was rare. Although Chapter One was eventually passed to the capable hands of Ross Lewis, who transformed it into an iconic establishment of Irish cuisine, Fran’s influence lives on in Dublin’s culinary landscape.
Over the last 40 years With Taste has been privileged to take part in some of Ireland’s most iconic and historic events, blending Fran’s values of excellence and authenticity into each. Notably, we collaborated with Ross Lewis to cater the State Banquet for Queen Elizabeth II’s visit to Ireland in 2011, a significant event held at Dublin Castle. This remarkable occasion represents just one chapter in our history of high-profile events, which also includes a record-breaking dinner for 5,500 guests at the Royal Dublin Society (RDS) during the International Golden Oldies Rugby Festival in 1993, and the EU Presidency Dinner in 2013 attended by world leaders. Additionally, we proudly catered for events marking Ireland’s rich history, including the 1916 Centenary Commemoration, which saw 4,000 people dine at the RDS and 3,500 at Dublin Castle.
Today, With Taste’s Culinary Centre and Head Office in west Dublin serve as the nerve center of our operations, where we carry forward Fran’s ethos of quality, dedication, and community spirit. Over 40 years since our founding, we remain Ireland’s largest family-run, indigenous corporate catering company, helmed by a vibrant team who share a passion for food and hospitality.
