From the entrance, with its stately facade and marbled hallway, a magnificent staircase leads to The Boardroom, a wedgewood styled room extending the full length of the upper story with three fine windows looking across the city’s park. Perfect for receptions on arrival. Rich carpeting, chandeliers, a fine portrait gallery and a large open fireplace define this space, but its finest feature is a barrel-vaulted ceiling with delicate coving, still intact after two hundred years.
Beyond it lies the College Hall, where the minstrel gallery and panelled walls lend the evening a warm, intimate ambience.
