In 1993, a record-breaking number of guests sat for dinner in the Royal Dublin Society for the International Golden Oldies Rugby Festival. The 5,500 guests from all over the world were welcomed at a reception in the Main Hall, followed by a gala dinner in Simmonscourt.

With Taste are very proud to have catered for this event and to hold such a record. Our team strategically worked together to ensure that the finest food was served proficiently. Throughout the night, Irish rugby jersey cakes were served that delighted guests, in particular our international guests who wanted to bring them home to China, Australia, etc as mementos.

From this memorable event, we still hold the record for the largest number of guests seated for dinner in one room!
